It might just become a reality for true blue gamers as the prize pool for the world’s biggest Dota 2 tournament just breached the $20 million mark on Wednesday, July 12.
According to the Dota 2 official website, the total prize pool for?The International 2018 (TI8) was valued at $20,034,838 (or over ?1.07 billion), as of this writing.
The International is the premier Dota tournament overseen by video game company Valve.
Despite its prodigious figures, TI8’s day 65 haul slightly lags behind last year’s TI7 ‘s total prize pool at around the same time.
The International 20必发官网 17 holds the record of having?the biggest prize pool in eSports history, with its mammoth $24,787,916 prize pool.

Filipino pro gaming organization Mineski received a direct invite to the tournament due to its number five ranking in the Dota Pro Circuit.
Also participating in TI8 is gaming team TNC 必发88Predator, which sports an all-Filipino lineup in Raven (Marc Fausto), Armel (Armel Paul Tabios), Sam_H (Sam Hidalgo), Tims (Timothy Randrup) and team captain Kuku (Carlo Palad).
TNC Predator qualified for TI8 after placing second behind regional rival Fnatic in the?The International 2018 Southeast Asia Qualifier.
